Georgia Lynn's Nursery REVEAL

I can't even describe how happy I am about this space! I love everything about it!! Now, I just need my baby girl to be here so I can put her in it! I feel like I have kind of connected with Georgia in a different way, because throughout the whole process I was constantly thinking of her. I'm happy that I was able to do a lot of little DIY projects to make the room unique and special just for Georgia Lynn. I also love all the things that were given to us as gifts, including gift cards, that made it possible for me to make this a perfect space for Georgia. It's all in the details!! I hope y'all enjoy the pictures!

Sneak Peek :)

I figured I should show you all a little sneak peak of some of the things I've been working on for the nursery! I can't wait to get it ALL together!!! I am a little obsessed, but I figure that must come with the "first time mom" thing. I can't stand myself most days because I just think so much about Miss Georgia and what our life will be like once she makes her big debut. (oh and I just had to include a picture of my first born with his awesome hair do) Let me know what you think :) THANK YOU!!

3rd Trimester!

SAY WHAT??? I can't even believe it! I am definitely not ready for this little lovebug to make her appearance! Today I cleaned out our office to make room for Miss Georgia. Whoa, Cade and I have WAY too many things! I tried to put everything into the guest room, but it is over flowing into the hallway, where Chewie thinks it is free game and can chew on anything. (That is tomorrow's project). As I was setting up the few things we have for Georgia, I realized, we have NOTHING!! Here is what I do have: a super cute diaper bag I bought a few months ago, like three onesies, some pacifiers, a couple things from the baby shower, and some Pampers. It hit me today, Holy badword, we are going to have a child here in three months, and we have nothing for her. I'M ALREADY THE WORST PARENT EVER!!! I know there is hope, there are still three months left until this creature is popping out of my belly and occupying space in our house. I just gotta get down to business, like in Mulan- I need to download that song, maybe it will motivate me... ANYWAYS, I am happy to say that now that I have decided to work on the nursery, I am as tired as I was in the first trimester! haha isn't it funny how that works? I am loving every detail of the pregnancy and I am super excited to be preparing our home for this little baby. She has already stolen my heart, I love her so much, I can't imagine the love I will feel for her when I see her beautiful little face!! I will be posting progress pictures, if I can remember, of the nursery, and probably the little projects I do here and there for Georgia Lynn. Here is a little Pinspiration just to get the creative juices flowin, I love this idea!!

Baby Bump Style

Hey Y'all! So, I am trying some things out.. I found how to make these little collages from pinterest so I figured I'd try it out. I recently found out my husband and I are expecting a baby and made the announcement "Facebook Official" a couple weeks ago. My little belly started growing and I have no maternity clothes. Luckily, maternity clothes are actually very cute! I can still have my same style and be pregnant! I put together this collage as a sort of inspiration board and also just see if I could make it. (I did it!) Hopefully you can tell what it is, if not, well.... Hour spent on collage= fail. Thanks for reading! I should update this blog more often. I'm terrible..

Being Brittany

Okay, I'm going to get a little personal. You see, I am kind of afraid of "Being Brittany". I have always second guessed who I really am. What I really think and feel. I have never been confident.

This is how I feel somedays when I think about myself. It is pretty depressing, and it's my life. It's okay that I have bad days. Days when I don't know myself or necessarily want to know myself. Days when bed seems like a safe haven and food is comfort. I mask these days pretty well, and with a pair of super great new black booties, I might add. Talking with my therapist today, she helped me realize that I need to give myself permission to be me. To be me today, with all my imperfections. THIS is me. I need to accept myself in order to be my whole self. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to learn about myself. I am who I am. So, I found this very wise picture-quote thing on pinterest (along with all these little sayings).

I've got to remember this. I tend to believe EVERYTHING I think. I can't always do this. I have to remember to stop thinking sometimes and just BE. And now that I am starting to accept myself and love myself and learn to know myself.. I need to create. I need to create my future, create my happiness and create my new state of mind. I am going to be creating my future.
I like the idea of creating my future, since I like to create other things, like wreaths and cute outfits :)

As I grow into myself, I will still have "those" days. and when I do... I can just:

smile and wave I will. :D Thanks for reading, I'll post a cute outfit tomorrow or something. ;)
